What do they have over you?
Another great installment from Heroes Season 3. In my opinion the best, and most interesting part of this episode was the storyline and character development of Daphne. Previously, in her Hiro/Ando interactions we had seen a fun, almost harmless "villain", but she could well have been disposable. Over the last 2 episodes we have seen her humane side, her reluctance to work for Pinehearst and a mystery developing over what hold they have over her. She is fast becoming a brilliant character, more complex and far less annoying than for example Maya (introduced in season 2). I like the love interest story with Parkman as well, although I will be pleased to see him back in the actiony type plots. Parkmans love interests have gone from a cheating wife, to gay dad with Mohinder, to Daphne, so it is time he had some luck in that department!! I just hope she isnt killed off.
The Hiro/Ando storyline was also very pleasing. Ando was never seriously going to be dead, and the explanation was pretty good. This was the first time in ages that Masi Oka's Hiro hasnt annoyed me with his constant doubting of Ando. The scenes in Africa were hilarious, "Mr Africa Isaac" and the whole painting scenario! Here is a good collection of all Uluru's (Mr African Isaac) paintings. The 4 villians at the end with the Pinehearst Logo were Arthur, Knox, Flint and an unkown?
I found it interseting that Arthur wants Sylar, but an unreformed Sylar, not what Angela is creating at the Company, but Sylar with the hunger, I guess to do Arthurs evil bidding? Arthurs power seems to be a cross between Peter's absorbing of abilities, with Sylar's "hunger", killing and taking them away. Peter's abilities are gone (for now) but he is very much alive. Can't wait for more on Arthurs backstory! Adam's death was actually quite anticlimatic, I guess Arthur is unkillable now then? Unless more Vortex creators are introduced? Mohinder is another being created by Mr Petrelli, presumably for his scientific knowledge, that the company seemed to want so much. Is it just me or does the company appear to be in complete disarray? How did Daphne and flint just bypass supposedly the most secure level in the whole company!! I also wondered this week why Sylar was kept alive by the company at the end of season 1? Were Bob and Angela close? Or did Bob envisage using Sylar for the companies benefit?
Eric Doyle is fucking scary. His power is ridiculously good, although I doubt we'll see alot of him in the future, unless of course he is on the Pinehearst recruit list. The dynamic between Claire, Meredith and sandra has been consistently excellent and was again with the psychotic Doyle's shooting game. Anyone notice Meredith begging to be saved when the gun pointed to her? I'm not sure how much we can trust her, she is loyal to Claire yes, but apart from that her motives are yet to be revealed. As good as Doyle's power may be, he isn't the brightest Level5 villain out there, Sandra fired blanks twice before shooting Claire. Surely he would have guessed something was up?
The next episode looks brilliant, here are a few previews and sneak peeks

I warn you not to go exploring on the above site, as there are LOTS of spoilers coming out Greg Gurnberg (Parkman) has just done a pretty spoilerish interview with Digital Spy.
Here are a few tidbits for the next episode:
- Someone will die (i have a good idea, but not 100%)
- Elle is back and teams up with Claire to go to Pinehearst. Hottest double act ever?
- Mohinder makes some sort of deal with Arthur
- Daphne is sent to kill Matt, as she has not recruited him
- Sylar is sent to Pinehearst by Angela
- Episode 8 will see Hiro following Arthur in his last days before his "death". Real life Linderman and Peter with curtains will be in this episode.
- Sylars past will also be explored (ep8)
- Thompson i.e. HRG's superioir in s1 will also appear. (ep8)
