elvis guest starring on the frank sinatra show in 1960
Literally the best thing ever. This was his first public appearance after 2 years in the army and its bad ass. He had so much talent and versatility, I doubt there have been many better performers ever. Sinatra was also amazing singing Love me Tender all upbeat mashed up with Witchcraft. I wish I was alive back then. They sure don't make them like they used to.

Old Skool Monday #1
I decided i wanted my blog to have a regular feature, the classic album thing kindof failed, so i thought why not have a "classic tune" type thing every monday. The only criteria is that it has to be more than 5 years old i.e pre-2003, and it has to be good.
Kicking it off with a bang...yeah its cheesy to the max but its also so so good... No-one is too cool for some Elvis!!
"Heartbreak Hotel" is a rock and roll song performed by Elvis Presley, with Bill Black (bass), Scotty Moore (guitar), D.J. Fontana (drums), Floyd Cramer (piano) and Elvis on rhythm guitar as the main supporting musicians. Recorded in January 1956 in Nashville, the song introduced Presley to the American national music consciousness. It was released as a single with the b-side song "I Was The One" on January 27, 1956. "Heartbreak Hotel" became the first No.1 pop record by Elvis and was the best selling single of 1956."
enjoy...
