comic-con 2009 round-up

its pretty hard to decipher from the above picture, but ABC have confirmed the above as:
Faraday, Boone, Miles, Michael, Ana Lucia, Charlotte, Shannon, Desmond, Eko, Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Locke, Ben, Sayid, Libby, Sun, Jin, Claire, Hurley, Juliet, Charlie, Frank, Richard, Bernard and Rose
I am so fucking excited. Round up of Lost, Heroes, Fringe, Doctor Who and Torchwood's panels below...

LOST
Beginning with the best, the Lost panel was pretty revelatory.
In short (from DarkUfo):
1) Parallel with S1 and S6 - DL confirms many characters from season one!
CC: Says there is a way of discovery that they will have in play in S6
2) Faraday confirmed for S6!!
3) Will we see flashbacks to characters' childhood? CC says S6 will be different. CC won't describe what that point of difference is.
4) Richard Alpert's backstory is "involved"
5) DL: Juliet WILL be in final season.
6) Q: Is Man in Black's name "Esau?" Emerson: Might be too literal--but I like the way your mind works.
7) Food drop in S2 finale might be covered... DL: "Something we'll try to address."
8) We won't see much DHARMA in S6
9) Jacob has NOT appeared as another character on the show.
10) Dominic Monaghan appeared on the panel!!!!
Read Doc jensens write up here

The major talking point was of course the virtual confirmation that Charlie (and I suspect all the characters in the above poster) will be in Season 6. I am so excited to see how this is going to work and how major their roles will be. I think Season 6 is going to be epic beyond all proportions.
Emerson, Garcia and Holloway were all at the Panel, and from the clips I've seen, were all on top form. Emerson even read a fake script from Heroes and declared "what the fuck is this?". Legend.
Here is the death reel that preceded Monaghans appearnce:

Heroes

In comparison, the Heroes panel was pretty dull...
here is a promo for season 5, Redemption:

looks like they are going ti create some new mythology again with the stupid compass thing. Gurnberg and Qinto are far too good for this show! I hope Sylar breaks out of Nathans body early on so I dont have to watch Adrian Pasdar "act" for too long.

Fringe
What we learned:
  • Kirk Avecedo (Charlie Francis) will be on season 2 extensively
  • Leonard Nimoy will return in the premiere to play William Bell
  • Pinkner virtually admitted the original plan to make the show very accessible to all audiences was now out the window. :D
That's pretty much it!!

Doctor Who
  • John Simm will return as the master in the Christmas special(s)
  • Donna and Wilf will also return!
  • River Song will return next season, in some of Matt Smiths first few episodes.
  • New Waters of Mars preview clip! watch here

Torchwood

Nothing much, just general talks about CofE's excellent reviews/reaction both UK and USA. I reckon the fact they're even having a panel suggests there will be another season.

does anyone really care anymore?

i guess ive completely lost faith in the show. after a strong start to season 3, it petered out to become (in the last few eps of volume 4) worse than the abysmal season 2. I hated pretty much every character except Hiro, and didnt care for their fate. The show relied too much on Sylar, who wasnt given enough interaction with the other major cast members, and even Zachary Quinto's acting couldn't turn awful writing into exciting action on screen. I began the year writing reviews every episode, that will not be happening next season. I will watch volume 5, but i wont look forward to it in any shape or form. There are a few minor spoilers below, taken from a nice article by DigitalSpy, rounding up character by character plotlines for the next season. Unless something dramatically changes, this could be my last ever post on Heroes. I cant believe it was ever considered Lost's equal.

From DigitalSpy:Here's what's happening with the major characters when the new season starts:

Claire (Hayden Panettiere): is starting college in Washington, D.C. Gets two roommates, Annie (Rachel Melvin) and Gretchen (Madeline Zima), but predictably, Claire's new life is far from straightforward. In the first episode, she discovers a body on the sidewalk, the result of a mysterious suicide. Meanwhile, she's dealing with the fallout from her parents' divorce process.

Nathan (Adrian Pasdar):... is Sylar. But that doesn't mean Nathan's going to be through and through bad next season. "I think there's going to be a good redemptive nature to his behaviour this year," Pasdar told Sci Fi Wire recently. "It's nice to think it might end a little lighter. It's nice to think it might end with a martyrdom kind of behaviour thing in order to sacrifice himself to save the world."

Peter (Milo Ventimiglia): has alienated himself from those cloest to him as he embarks on a one-man mission to save the world, one person at a time. Peter also finds a romantic interest in the form of a powerful woman. This is rumoured to be a hearing-impaired character called Emma, played by The L Word's Deanne Bray.

Angela (Cristine Rose): Talking about episode 3, Rose told E! Online: "I learned that 20 years ago, Angela made a decision that is going to come back to bite her in her rear end. Angela tries her best, but she keeps screwing up." Rose added that in the same episode, there will be a "huge change" for Mama Petrelli.

Matt (Greg Grunberg): is feeling guilty over the Nathan/Sylar affair but is trying to live a normal life with his wife and son. Grunberg has posted on his Twitter saying that he has been filming scenes where Matt "beats up on Sylar". Matt also gets a new partner ( Battlestar's Rick Worthy), an experienced LA cop who Matt turns to for advice.

Noah (Jack Coleman), Tracy (Ali Larter):... and Angela, among others, are forming The Company 2.0. But this time, The Company claims to have good intentions, with the aim of uniting heroes around the world. But there's also a new, sinister organisation on the scene - one that treats people with abilities in a "dangerous and potentially deadly new way".

Samuel (Robert Knepper): is a brand new character, described as a "charismatic and evil" man who will "veer into the lives of all heroes". Check back in with Tube Talk tomorrow morning for an exclusive interview with the ex-Prison Break star talking about his new role!

heroes volume 4: fugitives preview

Sneak Peeks, a small recap and more below...

I almost can't be bothered with Heroes anymore after the downward slide it experienced at the end of Volume 3: villains, and the fact that Lost is back to show just how a flawless TV show can be made. Anyway, I will of course be watching. Remember the finale of Volume 3?
What happened?

Thats what Hereoswiki says. Probably the only thing you need to know for the next series is that Nathan told the president about loads of people with abilities, starting off a hunt for them. Not sure how/why Nathan has suddenly gone mental, but Heroes doesnt seem to find the need for realistic character development so i'll just accept it. Also, how is Nathan gonna avoid gettin caught himself?

our father: another non-recap

noooooooooooooooo

so she is dead, rendering Sylar's whole storyline for the past season almost pointless? no time for in depth recap for this episode so just a few thoughts. aparently this is hoe Elles body birning scene should have been...
According to a blog post by Greg Beeman, the scene in which Sylar burns Elle's body was originally written a little differently. "There was a final shot Jeannot designed for this scene that ended up being cut out. It was a huge crane shot that swooped away as Sylar stood over Elle's burning body. I remember the script read: 'Sylar stands on her burning body. A tinge of remorse. Giving Elle far more respect than any of his previous victims.' Anyway, the shot was very dramatic and I found it very haunting, almost beautiful. But the network standards and practices people and even Tim Kring thought it was too disturbing. So we cut it—and ended up playing the scene on a simple close up Sylar. This works too. I don't know, maybe America's not ready for full-on immolation." from Heroeswiki

WHY DID THEY NOT KEEP THAT?
i have heard that in volume 4, a blonde we thought dead isnt or something cryptic like that. but that could well be tracy or daphne or meredith (she is in the finale). i am pretty sure she is dead to present day Hereos. very sad. the scene with hiro getting the catalyst was also pretty sad, i will miss 10 year old Hiro! i dont understnad how the future hasnt been changed dramatically by Hiro and Clare meeting their parents, surely once young Clare grows up HRG would see the striking resemblance to the random girl he met 16 years before. Sylar was much like s1 Sylar in this epi, very funny, but his storyline development has been disappointing of late. Peter continued his rehabilitation in my eyes, but i fear he will become super annoying again when he regains his power (obviously going to happen next episode). Maphne were annoying as ever. i have so many qualms with this season now, that completely didnt exist at the start grrrrr. anyway, here are 4 sneak peeks for the finale, entitled Dual.

a few tidbits:
  • doyle will be in this episode
  • this episode leads directly into volume 4
  • one characters decision will be very influential and have great consequnces in volume 4
  • meredith is back
  • mr african isaac is back
  • rumour has it Monica (season 2) is back, but i doubt it
  • one of clares foster/real parents is gonna die (better not be sandra)
  • andos getting a power
thoughts on the episode, spoilers for volume 4 and tips on what they should do to improve coming next week!

the eclipse part 2 recap...

nooooooooooooooooo. ok so Sylar was never gonna really die...when I first watched this episode for some reason I thought this was possible, and I also thought Clare might be dead for real. How was I so stupid?

I suppose the huge build up to the eclipse as a major event that would have massive repercussions for the Heroes etc etc made me believe 2 of the biggest characters in the show could be killed of within 10 seconds of each other! Turns out all their powers were just turned back on when the eclipse ended....what a ridiculous anticlimax. If it had happened in the night none of them would have even noticed!! My first opinion of this episode was that it was brilliant, up there with the best Heroes eps, but looking back it reeeaally wasnt that spesh...the fact that alot of the characters reminded me of their season 1 selves may have been a factor in my initial view of the epi.

the episode kicked off by picking up where we left off in Haiti, with Nathans kidnap by the Haitian (i love how we, and Peter!, still call him this, even when they are in Haiti...I wonder if he introduced himself at Primatech as "the haitian") brother. Nathan speaking French was hilarious, as in how bad it was, I really hope this was intentional...The Haitian is such a good character, and has been underused in the whole history of Heroes imo. I'm sure there is a very interesting story to be told about him. The way he killed his brother was horrible, having your memories removed until you cant remeber how to function is pretty dam nasty. Hope we see alot more of him int he big showdown coming up...After Peter and the Haitian busted him out, nathan decided to join Arthur anyway...This was so unbeliveable and illogical. his reasons for going to Pinehearst were so weak, and just didnt make sense! They could at least of had Tracy persuading him, that would have been far more believable. Peter without powers is becoming more and more likeable, and more like the good old Murse of old, whereas Nathan is getting more and more annoying. Nathan (when he appeared) was one of the more intersting aspects of s2, and early s3, with some signs of a complex character developing, but he now seems to have turned into exactly the same character/person he was towards the end of s1...Milo Ventimiglia is an awful actor though haha

Clare was rushed to hospital and drastically felt the effects of never having been ill before, no damn antibodies! sandra is such a good character, but before being faced with the moral dilemna of lying to the police, Clare died. bad times. Lucky for her the eclipse ended just in time and she came back to life. I wonder how long she could be dead, without her power, before its too late to bring her back. HRG spent the episode on a Sylar/Elle hunt. HRG was very much like the mysterious, sinister Arthur Bennett from season 1, and was great ij the whole episode. He is such a brilliant character when used well. After being rudely disturbed, Sylar and Elle hit the supermarket for some plasters, and Sylar tries to make them split already! Elle should have clocked on something was up then already...and then when he shoved her in the lift and sent her away, it may have been another sign that Sylar was not quite 100% committed to their relationship...Elle made a good point whilst getting bandaged up, HRG has all the power during the eclipse, and I guess Sylar being killed showed this, but this could have been developed more....The scene in which Sylar began to slit Noah's throat was awesome and very very interesting. HRG declares "They're not your parents" and claims Angela/Arthur are manipulating Sylar to use a ver powerful weapon on their repsective sides. There was a look of knowing in Elle's eyes when HRG was talking, i think he may be telling the truth. But then again, HRG is equally as capable of manipulation/lying than the Petrelli parents. Hiro then saved the day! "Bad man"! whisking elle and sylar to a random beach, and Clare back in time...I am reserving judgement on the "beach scene" until we discover Elle's fate. She had better not be.

I almost cant be arsed to wirte about Matt/Daphne as their story is becaoming so boring. Daphne had such great potential at the start of the season but the big "secret" surrounding her was such an anticlimax. I thought she was gonna be a murderer or summat. And Matt Parkman's character is systematically getting ruined by the awfully written, horribly unbelievable love story they have. i know I have previously applauded the matchup, but my mind has been 100% changed. Matt (for the last 2 series really) has been such a sap, and I feel I can no longer defend his character, a character i used to love. His hollow bumming of Daphne and insistence that "you are a good person" is so fucking annoying. and stupid!! when he calls her "sweetie" i just want Sylar to swoop in and smash his head open arghghghgh. there is still a chance for redemption for both these characters. if not this volume, then next (both will be in it).

Hiro and Ando on the other and have been reinvogorated towards the end of s3, and (again reminding me of s1, speaking japanese and reading comics) are now the loveable characters of old. Masi Oka is so good at playing Hiro. I hope he stays childlike for a long while!! Seth Green and the other comic book guy were also great, such good cliches of comic book guys!! I wonder who has the final 9th wonder story? this could be v.important.

I cant be arsed to talk about Mohinder, he is so so so so so so so fucking annoying. things: 1) how the hell could he beat up/kill Flint? A huge, aggressive, angry thug vs a wimpy, pathetic scientist? really? 2) is Maya gonna proper come back? seems pointless to have her appearing if shes not...

heroes recap; its coming

this is kindof weird, coz i just watched the next episode, but i wrote it so ill post it :D

This was written on the train...
just watched ep9 "its coming" for the 2nd time on my ipod. Very mixed feelings about this episode, about 2/3 of it was great, action packed Heroes that has been great in the majority of episodes this season. The other 3rd was rubbish, awfully written, no character development, no action, almost disrespectful to the actors! Anyway...

..this episode was well split between the main characters (except HRG), so ill start with Hiro/Ando. After the "cliffhanger" from ep8, it looked like Arthur was taking Hiro's power away! Trns out he just erased his memories, for now at least. Not much of a surprise TBH, as a team with powerless Hiro, and powerless Peter would be pretty useless agaisnt Arthur and poss Sylar (still unsure where his allegiance lies). Hiro managed to transport himself and Ando to a bowling alley in Japan. 10 year old Hiro was great. It doesnt really add to the seasons story, but still really funny, Masi Oka was perfect for this sort of acting! The tricks he played were great, and the numerous "i did it" (Yata!) were a welcome return. Also, the 9th wonder comics are great, i wonder how far ahead of his death Isaac wrote? Seth green plays a comic store worker next week!

We alos saw Sylar developing and discovering his powers. How frustrating that his power is essentially Peter's! the whole "you need to feel empathy" thing doesnt quite add up, seeing as in ep8 we saw a normal(ish) Gabriel, who surely would have felt empathy at some point! He should already have had Elle's power ffs! Anyways, Zach Quinto and Kristen Bell play 2 of my favourite Heroes characters and they have fantastic onscreen chemistry. Their "reunion" was done well for the 1st 25 minutes, with a bitter Elle basically torturing herself and the monster she helped create. She basically went crazy and electrocuted the hell out of him! When Sylar did his trademark finger flick I was really worried that he might actually kill her! After he absorbed her power presumably calming it of sorts, this sotry went dead. The next scenes saw Elle showing Sylar electric tricks! From despising to having a friendly chat/flirt is far too unrealistic! It was ridiculously oversentimental and stupidly cheesy. I thought this was an insult to the actors! If (when) Sylar and Elle get together, they should do so via some kind of fight (a la A-L and Sawyer in Lost!). It just annoyed me! These scenes have such potential, the writers need to not throw it away!

Peter and Claire teamed up in this episode. The writers seem to build up this epic relationship between them, but I can only remember a few times (obv "save the chherleader") that theyve even been in the same scene! I do quite like them as a team though. It does seeam sometimes that Haydyn Panieterre lets her real life relationship with Milo come across tooooo much, the way she delivered the line "My Hero" was a little too much for her uncle. Loved her jumping through the window, was pretty awesome. I like the story Claire now has this season, with the whole catalyst thing. Shes standardly not gonna hide away!

The 3rd Petrelli brother, and (surprisingly, as he did try to kill him last ep) Arthurs favourite went with Tracy to Pinehearst to gage his "rebirth" for himself. The most exciting bit of this was Tracy going back into the building, and her subsequent convo with Arthur. Tracy basically agreed to persuade Nathan to join Arthur, not an easy task tbh, considering his mum and favourite bro are so anti-him. What is in it for her? hope well find out soon...

Mohinder still hasnt been killed off! And made another stupid speech at the start, about this eclipse that is coming soon (next ep to be precise). If they try and explain the significance of the eclipse scientifically i'm gonna bepissed off. Heroes needs to accept its a scifi show, and people arent gonna genetically mutate to have superpowers, or gain them through teir adrenaline (?) and the eclipse wont make your adrenal glands change! His lines at the end were ridiculous, describing the eclipse. "It starts light and ends light, and its dark in between". ffs

matt has been drastically underused this season, but hes still one of my faves, as is Daphne. they arrive in primatech, which is completely deserted bar a still comatosed Angela. Mat uses his power to enter the dream shes being held in. This started awesomely, Parkman finding only locked doors until 1 is open and Arthur ( check the shadow!) appears as Daphne..and stabs Matt in the back (almost eminiscent of the JD fantasy of Townsey in Scrubs). Daphne ten gets "brought in" and gives a bullshit speech claiming she "loves him". It did the trick, Matt is whipped, but back in real life when she claims to have told the truth...she is clearly lying. They have known each other 10 minutes. The writers seem to be selective as to when Matt can use his powers! Surely, if some girl you dont really know comes along and backstabs you then tells you she loves you, your gonna be suspicious enough to have a little mind read? Arthur let Angela go, potentially v.sigificant. Daphne said she "cant go back to the way I was" pretty sure ep10 will reveal ehat that was.

The episode was so mixed...sometimes amazing, sometimes a joke. Heroes has a history of handling relationships awfully. Claire/west, Maya/Mohinder were done rubbishly. Hopefully Sylar/Elle and Matt/Daphne will be given alot better scripts!

no sneak peeks/promos as the next epi is already out....

heroes "villains" recap

Heroes suffered a bit of a dip this week, in the excitement stakes. The program seems to have problems with making "flashback" episodes (the s2 one was pretty rubbish), but the flashforward type ones are always great. weird. It wasn't a bad episode at all, I just think more stories could have been explored (im sure we were promised a Parkman story?).

Anywho, the episode had three main focuses; the Petrelli's, Meredith/Flint and Sylar/Elle/HRG. As usual in this program, the Petrelli's provided the focus, and it was good to see the dynamic between Arthur/Angela/Linderman. The flashback kicked off with an anniversary party for the couple (and a welcome return for Peters curtains reminding us of when he wasnt an annoying character). Linderman and Arthur appear very close and plan to kill Nathan to prevent him uncovering his secrets. I don't understand why Arthur didn't just force Nathan to not investigate Linderman (by forcing thoughts into his head). seems a bit unnecessary to try and kill him when he could have just told him not to bother. Was nice to revisit the car crash, but unfortunately no new scenes there. The control we then see Arthur having over Angela is disturbing, after she overhears him and Linderman and runs for a knife. Arthur uses his powers so menacingly, even Maury Parkman seems moderate when compared to Mr P. I liked Linderman "healing" Angela's memory scars, thought that was a nice scene, and maybe explains why they were working together so closely in season 1 to blow up NY. The Haitian also seems to be loyal to Angela (as well as HRG). he has only been used intermittently this season, but his ability to stop peoples powers could prove vital for the "heroes" in the fight against Arthur, especially now he has Hiro's power! (aparently Peter/Nathan go in search of him soon).

Another focus was the creation of Sylar. Gabriel is introduced to the episode attempting to kill himself, and Elle coming to his rescue. I still hav eno idea why Kristen Bell is only a guest star, she is amazing. Zachary Quinto is also a brilliant actor and played the geeky, unaware, infatuated Gabriel fantastically. The chemistry between the two (seen before in the s2 finale) is brilliant and think we'll be seeing more of that soon. I was kindof egging Sylar on to kill that Trevor guy, he was pretty annoying. I guess this episode showed that Sylar can seriously control his hunger, and only when provoked does he use it for evil (ie by Elle/HRG). Nice little comment by HRG "I'm sure we'll be trakcing mr Gray down soon"...maybe not...

Meredith also had a large focus this episode along with her brother (and now villain) Flint. Flint came across really well, just easily manipulated, rather than a proper villian. there was a nice reference to Claude in this episode as well, aparently capturing Flint. Meredith made a pretty awesome agent for the company, but her loyalty ton her brother proved her downfall. I wonder how Flint got put in level 5? He does seem kindof harmless...The fight on the train was pretty nice, and a nice link to season 1 and claire as well...

it was a good episode, I guess its just frustrating that the story want furthered that much. Arthur is most defiately a "villain" i think. Angela has done some bad shit for sure, but Arthur is surely the true "baddy".

eris quod sum recap

This was not one of the stronger episodes of the series but had a couple of excellent storylines. The main focus was the Petrelli brothers, predominantly Sylar and Peter. Sylar was brilliant in this episode, as he has been all season. His scenes started with Angela (in a coma) somehow managing to get into his dream. So her power is dreaming the future, and also general dream manipulation then? In a similar way that Parkmans is mind-reading but also general mind manipulation. I was confused about the next bit, Sylar is then told to use his power to get out of Level 5 by Angela. How is this possible? Surely level 5 must have some high security stuff that stops villains using their powers, otherwise it would be piss easy to get out. Sylar's arrival at Pinehearst, just as Mohinder is about to inject Peter with an altered formula, with a "Hello Mohinder" was reminiscent of season 1! After Arthur told him of his mothers supposed hatred for him, Sylar appears to switch sides. However, he is right when he says Angela is the only one who has accepted him for who he is. Sylar is not going to betray her, he blatantly slowed down Peter when he pushed him off!! Quite liked Peter this episode actually, he is better without powers!

Peter is rescued by Claire, who also had a pretty good storyline this episode. The return of Elle was brilliant (why is she only a guest star!!?), and they made a very good, very hot team. Lyle is so funny, he is such a random minor character, he is basically an extra! Is Lyle adopted? I cant remember. Was pretty cool when he poured the water on Elle "Lyle style" lmao. Elle is so desperate to get rid/control her power she still went into Pinehearst despite the quite drastic warning of Peter getting thrown out of a window.

Mohinder was reaaaaaly annoying again in this episode, and his power is very confusing. He pretty much flew out of that wondow with Maya, how? I'm sure he can climb walls, make webs etc but Spiderman cant fly. It pisses me off how Mohinder still tries to be the moral centre of the world, like when he attacked Sylar and criticised Arthur for faking his death. He didnt seem to remember he had just tied 5/6 people up in webs to experiment with them hmmm...I dont understand why Arthur needs Mohinder, surely the perfected version of the formula is the one he already has? nathan/tracy seem fine and they have been injected with it, why does It need altering? And surely of all the scientists in the world, Mohinder cant be the best? I actually thought Maya would die, but she has been written out of the program and i doubt she will appear again.

This episode witnessed the death of Maury Parkman, it was a bit stupid of him to stand up to Arthur, although it was a pretty heroic death trying to save his son. Knox appeared to be Arthur's right hand man, charged with going after Daphne and making sure she killed Matt. I really thought they were both dead when Know punched him, and was so relieved when it just turned out tobe mind tricks!! Daphne is double crossing Matt though, and when they invetably go to Primatech, she will be reporting back to Arthur. How did Matt not realise this, considering he can read minds? Is she really double crosiing Arthur as well? Was it planned all along to keep Matt alive?

Usustu is starting to annoy me now. His speeches are getting a bit too prophetic, annoying and reminiscent of some of Legolas' in LOTR! The cliffhanger at the end was a bit shit as well, as if Hiro is going to be dead, especially not at the hands of Usutu.

episode 8 will be on in 2 weeks, because of the election. it is called "Villians"

dying of the light recap/ eris quod sum preview

What do they have over you?

Another great installment from Heroes Season 3. In my opinion the best, and most interesting part of this episode was the storyline and character development of Daphne. Previously, in her Hiro/Ando interactions we had seen a fun, almost harmless "villain", but she could well have been disposable. Over the last 2 episodes we have seen her humane side, her reluctance to work for Pinehearst and a mystery developing over what hold they have over her. She is fast becoming a brilliant character, more complex and far less annoying than for example Maya (introduced in season 2). I like the love interest story with Parkman as well, although I will be pleased to see him back in the actiony type plots. Parkmans love interests have gone from a cheating wife, to gay dad with Mohinder, to Daphne, so it is time he had some luck in that department!! I just hope she isnt killed off.

The Hiro/Ando storyline was also very pleasing. Ando was never seriously going to be dead, and the explanation was pretty good. This was the first time in ages that Masi Oka's Hiro hasnt annoyed me with his constant doubting of Ando. The scenes in Africa were hilarious, "Mr Africa Isaac" and the whole painting scenario! Here is a good collection of all Uluru's (Mr African Isaac) paintings. The 4 villians at the end with the Pinehearst Logo were Arthur, Knox, Flint and an unkown?

I found it interseting that Arthur wants Sylar, but an unreformed Sylar, not what Angela is creating at the Company, but Sylar with the hunger, I guess to do Arthurs evil bidding? Arthurs power seems to be a cross between Peter's absorbing of abilities, with Sylar's "hunger", killing and taking them away. Peter's abilities are gone (for now) but he is very much alive. Can't wait for more on Arthurs backstory! Adam's death was actually quite anticlimatic, I guess Arthur is unkillable now then? Unless more Vortex creators are introduced? Mohinder is another being created by Mr Petrelli, presumably for his scientific knowledge, that the company seemed to want so much. Is it just me or does the company appear to be in complete disarray? How did Daphne and flint just bypass supposedly the most secure level in the whole company!! I also wondered this week why Sylar was kept alive by the company at the end of season 1? Were Bob and Angela close? Or did Bob envisage using Sylar for the companies benefit?

Eric Doyle is fucking scary. His power is ridiculously good, although I doubt we'll see alot of him in the future, unless of course he is on the Pinehearst recruit list. The dynamic between Claire, Meredith and sandra has been consistently excellent and was again with the psychotic Doyle's shooting game. Anyone notice Meredith begging to be saved when the gun pointed to her? I'm not sure how much we can trust her, she is loyal to Claire yes, but apart from that her motives are yet to be revealed. As good as Doyle's power may be, he isn't the brightest Level5 villain out there, Sandra fired blanks twice before shooting Claire. Surely he would have guessed something was up?

The next episode looks brilliant, here are a few previews and sneak peeks

I warn you not to go exploring on the above site, as there are LOTS of spoilers coming out Greg Gurnberg (Parkman) has just done a pretty spoilerish interview with Digital Spy.
Here are a few tidbits for the next episode:
  • Someone will die (i have a good idea, but not 100%)
  • Elle is back and teams up with Claire to go to Pinehearst. Hottest double act ever?
  • Mohinder makes some sort of deal with Arthur
  • Daphne is sent to kill Matt, as she has not recruited him
  • Sylar is sent to Pinehearst by Angela
  • Episode 8 will see Hiro following Arthur in his last days before his "death". Real life Linderman and Peter with curtains will be in this episode.
  • Sylars past will also be explored (ep8)
  • Thompson i.e. HRG's superioir in s1 will also appear. (ep8)

angels and monsters

Another very strong showing for Heroes, the character development has been excellent this season imo and we have even more insight into who will be Heroes/Villains come the end of the season. FUCKING HELL ANDO IS DEAD AND HIRO KILLED HIM!!! well....there has to be a twist here (Hiro does have a rather useful power in this scenario...), Hiro wouldn't kill Ando! it's just not in his nature...I am glad that Adam is back, he is a great character, and hopefully he will get alot of scenes in episode 6. Peter trying to kill Angela was a brilliant scene, and a great Petrelli family showdown (we will surely see alot more in family fighting soon...), Sylar defended her! Also, the Vortex villian was another great insight into how "killers" are not necessarily bad people in the show, and are just unable to control their powers (like Ted in season 1-radioactive man-killed his wife). It was great that Sylar saved Claire and the whole dynamic between them 3 was also utstadning. Does Claire know he's her uncle yet? The carousle scene was another good 'un, loving noah's attempt to destroy Sylar (come on we knew it wasnt going to happen), but it will be interesting to see if they wil still be partners once they return to the company... Mohinder is going even crazier, with his victims alive, strung up on the wall, now including Maya...she is looking pretty fine these days, but lets be honest she should have been killed off a while ago...Nathan and Tracy are standardly going to be his next victims! One of the big "shocks" of the episode wa the return of Arthur Petrelli (and Maury Parkman! who had been giving Nathan and Daphne all those Linderman visions). Wonder what Arthurs power is!
Pinehearst and "the company" will now surely battle it out with heroes and villians supposedly on both sides..
PINEHEARST
HEROES: Hiro, Daphne, Parkman (if recruited)
VILLAINS: Maury, Adam, Mohinder (if recruited), Arthur Petrelli maybe, Knox

THE COMPANY
HEROES:Peter, Nathan, Sylar, Noah, Claire, Claires mum,
VILLAINS: Angela(?), Tracy (?)

Elle is returning soon, cant wait!

i am become death

this has now undeniably been the best run of 4 episodes heroes has ever had....ah im so glad its gone good again. another brilliant episode! sylar has gone even higher in my estimation! zachary quinto is a brilliant actor, and future sylar was great. im really glad we learnt more about sylar's original power, and the "hunger" involved with it, and saw ted (of season 1)'s stoledn power (of radioactivity) again! future claire is mental, future world is mental! why is she woking with daphne and knox of all people? daphne and matt are together! how random! oh and future peter gwtting killed off was pretty good, about time there was only one peter...mohinder is completely fucked in the future! Sylar with young Noah! who is the mother? what is he doing in the bennett house? what happened to HRG? the showdown in the bennett household was brilliant, daphne/knox/claire(who was pretty useless) against peter and sylar and mini-noah lol. the special effects were wicked when sylar blew...then of course peter went kindof mad on his new president brother. peter is gonna be dangerous this seaosn on heroes for sure...
in the present e saw mohinders condition developing alot of adverse reactions, i wish they killed him off lol! ando and hiro are now working for angela petrelli or what? that conversation was very odd, how can anyone trust anything she says? pretty wicked that they digged up adam though! he is pretty much the only good thing to come out of season 2. who is "watching and manipulating" hiro and ando as angela says? linderman? or is she just bullshitting? niki/tracy/barbara(!) is just craziness now, and they all (well 2/3) seem to be on it for nathan...
i think we are starting to get a good idea of who are the villians and who are the heroes, but what with it being tv, there are bound to be twists and turns along the way...imo the heroes will be:
heroes: nathan, parkman (surely!!), daphne, ando, maya, tracy,
villains: peter(until maybe the last episode of this arc..and hell realise the error of his ways...), mohinder, sylar (under angela's guidance), angela, adam, hiro (:o),
others i am undecided on...
trailer for epi 6

check that shocked expression on angela's face! its no great secret that her surprise is at a certain arthur petrelli's return...
here is the odi's little tidbit on the next episode...
1) We'll learn more about Nathan's ability, and he'll be taking Tracy home to meet mom.
2) Nathan sets off on a mission that leads him to discover the shocking secret of another Hero.
3) Claire learns what her father is capable of when it comes to serving the Company, and she ain't the least bit happy about it.
4) Claire and Sylar join forces to fight the Vortex Villain (Stephen Canfield)
5) Arhtur Petrelli appears and is working with another Heroes father.

the vortex is supposedly very very evil...

heroes s03e03/ preview of episode 4

Another brilliant episode, probably the best season 3 so far...
Angela Petrelli is so brilliant, what the hell is going on with her?! so now she is feeding sylar with random employees of the company?! The teaming up of Sylar and HRG is genius though, they make such a brilliant entertaining team. Syalr killed this episode, was quality when him and Noah were outside the bank and Sylar went all policeman haha, and then saved the day, but we were reminded of his evil side! I wish the German hadn't died so soon he was cool, and Jesse's power is pretty cool. Knox is standardly going to come back...along with loads more crazy level 5ers. Im glad present peter is no longer trapped, in season 2 that sort of storyline lasted 5 episdoes + so was good it only lasted 2/3. Future Peter is weird, what is he doing in the present? I am liking the Jiro storyline now, BECUASE THE HAITIAN IS IN IT, what a legend. Wonder who Daphne is working for, i bet its Petrelli doing some double crossiing or could be Linderman? and Claires real mum is great, loving the new style family dynamic there and the rivalry with Mrs Bennett. Nice to see Micah back, Tracy is definately not Nikki then...? It is a weird storyline for sure, maybe this random doctor will have answers. Nathan and Tracy are standardly gonna get together....Also, no annoying Mohinder=bonusss! Also, what is going on with Parkman?! can he adopt powers or is he just exploring his own?

Trailer for episode 4

Lol at Sylar! I know a couple of spoilers for this episode....
  • Adam is back!
  • Linderman is back (again)
  • Molly is back
  • Claire goes after a level 5 villain
  • future claire is in the episode somewhere...
  • Tracy and Nathan kiss
sneak peeks will be added when available...
apologies for the jitteryness

heroes s03e03 trailers/recap of ep1/2-sneak peeks added

Linderman!!! what a great start to the new season of heroes! I have decided to do for Heroes, what i did last season for Lost, i.e. small recaps and post the promos/sneak peeks for the next weeks episode!

A great double bill, i am very glad Nathan has returned (even though we all knew it would happen), and it is great that he seems to have a big role this year, unlike s2 where he was a bit of a faded pathetic character. I love that Linderman (who is slightly reminiscent of Widmore) is back, and that only Nathan can see him. I have no idea what is going on with Nikki/Tracy, but I bet it has something to do with Linderman! It is pretty cool that mohinder has a power, although he is even more annoying now! And how has Maya suddenly lost her "South American" accent? Sylar (as usual) was awesome this episode, and he is going to be pretty unstoppable now, except he is going to be working with the Company! and HRG aparently! also, he is peter and nathans brother!? did we know he was adopted, I cant remember? Angela Petrelli is such a good character, I wonder if her power is those random dreams she has or what? The vision of the dead Heroes, killed by Nikki (wtf?), sylar, adam, parkmans dad and random level5 villain was quality! The level 5 villains are fucking mental, far wose than Sylar! I look forward to learning more about these characters...Oh yeah claires mum coming back is pretty cool! and Ando's potential future betrayal of Hiro!? Not too sure about Parkman being in Africa storyline..it reminds me of Hiro's adventure to feudal Japan, i.e far too longwhinded.

Anways, onto episode 3, here is the trailer...

Heroes Season 3 Episode 3 Trailer from Heroes Television on Vimeo.

I think this is mainly gonna follow the Level 5 escapees causing havoc, and Sylar/HRG's attempts to track them down, as well as Tracy investigating her past, and Hiro/Ando still after the speedster. The Haitian will appear! I really wonder who is gonna be good/evil this season! I think there could be a big shock and Claire or Parkman could be evil or summat. Parkman could discover how to use his powers the way his dad did...Adam is back episode 4 btw!

Sneak Peeks

looks like tis gonna be a good un! the Claires mum/claires real mum scenes are gonna be class. This Hiro/Ando/speedster storyline looks like it could get annoying tho :s
